We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and experienced Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers to join our team on an AD HOC basis within a children’s residential care home in Bolton. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with diverse needs while maintaining a safe, nurturing, and positive environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide person-centred care and emotional support to children and young people.
* Assist in daily activities including personal care, education routines, and recreational activities.
* Promote independence, safeguarding, and wellbeing at all times.
* Support children with behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties.
* Maintain accurate records, reports, and care plans in line with regulatory standards.
* Work collaboratively with the wider care team, external agencies, and families where appropriate.
* Follow all safeguarding, confidentiality, and health & safety procedures.
Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People or equivalent).
* Previous experience within a children’s residential setting or similar environment.
* Strong communication, resilience, and interpersonal skills.
* An understanding of safeguarding, behaviour management, and trauma-informed care.
* Flexibility to work on an AD HOC basis, including weekends or evenings as required.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
