Location: Withernsea, East Riding of Yorkshire
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: MPS/UPS: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum
Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent
GSL Education are seeking a Teacher of History for a thriving Secondary school in Withernsea, East Riding of Yorkshire, starting in September 2025.
Teacher of History Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging lessons that align with the national curriculum or exam board specifications.
* Use a variety of teaching strategies to make the subject matter interesting and accessible.
* Maintain discipline and create a positive learning environment.
* Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.
* Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils.
* Stay up-to-date with developments in the subject of History.
* Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Teacher of History Requirements:
* Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status, with UK-based teaching experience.
* Hold a relevant Degree at 2:1 or higher.
* A strong and comprehensive knowledge of history, including current events and developments.
* Be an excellent classroom practitioner with the ability to innovate, enthuse and use your own initiative.
* Have a commitment to ongoing personal development and training.
* Hold an enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply a for a new one through GSL Education.
