An exciting opportunity has arisen for a quantity surveyor to join our team working in Civils Construction on a variety of Residential and Commercial Projects.
Responsibilities:
· Obtaining quotes from suppliers and contractors within a specified time frame.
· Assessing the risk levels associated with a project.
· Preparing tenders for existing clients and new contracts.
· Monitoring the costs at the different stages of a project to ensure it stays within budget.
· Vetting Contracts, attending pre-start meetings to negotiate and agree contractual terms.
· Putting together programs of work.
· Attending site meetings.
· Site visits to carry out accurate monthly valuations including re-measures and variations.
· Dealing with client queries.
· Production of accurate valuations and final accounts.
· Working closely with the Commercial and Civils Team

· Ability to build effective working relationships and maintain and build client relationships to secure further work opportunities.
· Able to make decisions in a timely and appropriate manner.

· Good understanding of the building process and construction materials.
· Computer literate with a good understanding of Microsoft excel.
· Thorough knowledge of current CDM Health and Safety requirements, modern methods of construction and contractual awareness.
Qualifications:
· Degree level or similar construction related discipline. However, part qualified candidates may be considered.
· 3 A-Levels grade C or above or other relevant qualifications accepted.
· 5 GCSEs grades 9-4 including Maths and English
· Full clean UK driving licence
· Right to work in the UK
Job Type:
* Competitive Salary £30,000 - £60,000, depending on experience
