Job Role:
Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist who would like to work term time only Then they have an exciting opportunity for you for to join their College's Multi-Disciplinary Therapy Team providing clinical expertise and delivery. You will work autonomously but you will also benefit from being part of our existing MDT integrated therapy service cross site collaboration with therapy teams in other settings.
This is an interesting and varied role holding a mixed caseload of students from ages 16 -25 ranging in needs from those with severe and profound learning disabilities to those Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Requirements:
You will have knowledge of sensory processing and ideally hold post graduate level Sensory Integration training. You will be confident to work autonomously, manage your own clinical caseload, lead and direct a OTA and will work closely with other members of the educational multidisciplinary team. You will be responsible for assessing students, providing professional guidance and written reports for students at all stages. You will work in close conjunction with the education and pastoral teams to enable students to make continued progress in their education programmes.
- Occupational Therapist Qualification
- Must have HCPC registration.
- Appropriate above experience, imaginative and dynamic and should be committed to the principles of inclusive education.
- Experience/training in Sensory Integration would be ideal.
- Our young people have complex learning difficulties (PMLD) including diagnosis of ASC (pre-formal learners) but we also have young people with ASD and learning difficulties (more able, semi-formal learners) so experience in this area is preferable.
