Driver Resource Recruitment is currently seeking a Class 1 Night Driver for our client based in Appleby Magna. Our client specialises in providing transportation and supply chain solutions for national and multinational companies. They are experienced specialists in delivering seamless, end-to-end solutions tailored to complex and rapidly evolving logistics needs.
Shift Pattern & Pay Rates (PAYE, exclusive of holiday pay):
* Nights: Monday to Friday
* Standard Hours (06:00-18:00): £17.17 per hour
* Unsocial Hours (18:00-06:00): £20.32 per hour
* Average Shift Duration: 10 hours
Key Responsibilities:
* Loading and unloading goods
* Using a handheld scanner for Proof of Delivery (POD)
* Following scheduled just-in-time delivery routes (up to 3 drops per night)
* Completing basic paperwork
* Please note: This is not a sleeper role
Requirements:
* Experience driving a Class 1 - minimum 6 months
* Must pass a 4-hour driving assessment
* High-vis and safety boots required
* Clean and professional appearance
* No more than 6 penalty points on your license
* No DR or IN conviction codes
* Good communication skills and a sound understanding of English (reading and writing) required
