You’ll join the Birmingham-based Private Wealth team at a national firm with an established reputation for excellence. This is a Principal Associate opportunity with genuine long-term potential, not just to lead, but to help innovate and grow a team in a department that values honest communication and collaboration above all else.
In your first six months, you’ll build trust with the team, handle high-quality cases confidently, and start to mentor junior lawyers. Within a year, you’ll take on more complex work, contribute to department strategy, and become a go-to right-hand for the Head of Department. By year two, you’ll be fully embedded, playing a key role in shaping the direction and culture of the team.
Who we’re looking for
4. 5+ years’ PQE as a qualified solicitor
5. Strong experience with HNW and UHNW clients
6. Excellent technical knowledge of wills, trusts, estate and tax planning
7. Confident, well-spoken, and professional communicator
8. Self-aware and emotionally intelligent leader
9. Experience mentoring or supervising junior team members
10. Business development skills or interest in contributing to strategic growth

Salary & Benefits
16. Salary up to £70,000 depending on experience
17. 33 days’ holiday, including bank holidays, with an additional holiday for birthday
