Job Description
Role Overview: As our new Business Development Director, you will play a crucial role in supporting and developing our presence in the Financial Services sector, leading large sales opportunities, and managing client engagements. You will be part of a growing team focused on enterprise opportunities, working with salespeople and strategic technology partners like Microsoft, AWS, Oracle, and Red Hat.
Responsibilities
* Lead large sales opportunities (7/8 figure deals) through our Commercial team and strategic partners.
* Manage smaller sales opportunities and bids independently.
* Oversee execution of contracts, client engagement, and project mobilization.
* Manage customer accounts and partner engagements with Microsoft and AWS.
* Support the production of bids and tender responses.
* Collaborate with project managers and delivery teams to prepare high-quality bids, documentation, and presentations.
* Lead pre-qualification processes to identify winnable opportunities.
* Liaise with delivery teams to secure resources for sales and bids.
* Respond to customer requirements and prepare presentations for clients and events.
* Coordinate with Partner Account Managers and Commercial Operations for successful delivery of presentations and contracts.
* Support all stages of the bid process lifecycle.
Qualifications
* Successful experience as a Business Development Director delivering IT services and solutions in Financial Services.
* Knowledge of the sector's buying cycles, procurement processes, frameworks, channel partners, and bidding environments.
* Influencing skills to coordinate with various stakeholders at multiple levels.
* Excellent written skills for tender and documentation preparation, with proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engagement at all organizational levels.
* Good commercial awareness and understanding of project and business dynamics.
