Job Overview

Looking for a role where you can genuinely change lives and go home knowing youve made a difference?

Join #TeamDrum in Dunfermline as a Support Practitioner. We have full-time, part-time and relief options available. No previous experience is needed; if youre caring, compassionate and willing to learn, well provide all the training and support you need.

Meet our team

Youll be joining a warm, supportive team who provide support to four incredible ladies with profound and complex needs in their shared home. This is much more than a job, youll build meaningful relationships, celebrate achievements, support independence, and help create memorable experiences every day.

Whether youre supporting one of the ladies to prepare a meal, achieve a personal goal, enjoy a favourite activity, or simply feel heard and understood, youll play an important part in helping them live a full and valued life. From arts and crafts sessions to days out and even alpaca visits, no two days are ever the same.

The ladies communicate in different ways and will take time to get to know you, but the trust and relationships youll build makes this one of the most rewarding roles you could ever have.

Reasons why youll love this job

* Youll make a real difference in peoples lives every day
* Youll build genuine, meaningful relationships
* Youll be part of a supportive and welcoming team
* You can bring your own personality to work and be yourself
* Youll have access to opportunities for development

Were looking for people who are

* Caring, patient and compassionate
* Positive, reliable and keen to learn
* Good communicators who enjoy working as part of a team
* Organised and confident using basic computer systems

A full UK manual driving licence would be beneficial, as the ladies have access to their own mobility vehicles, but this is not essential.

Shift patterns

We provide support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and typical shifts fall between 0700 and 2200 hours, with sleepovers, waking nights, weekends and public holidays worked on a rotational basis. Sleepovers are not included in your contracted hours and are paid in addition to contracted hours at £107.60 per sleepover. Waking nights are paid at your normal hourly rate plus an additional supplement. Shift patterns may vary depending on the needs of the ladies we support and planned activities.
