About Our School
Welcome to our vibrant school located in Wigan! We provide a safe and supportive environment for pupils aged 5 to 16 years old. As part of the Polaris Community, we have dedicated over 30 years to improving the lives of young people.

Your Role and Responsibilities
As a SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational journey of our pupils. Your responsibilities will include:
* Planning and delivering high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum, addressing the complex ASC & SEMH needs of all pupils.
* Supporting the class team in creating learning opportunities and fostering positive behaviors.
* Monitoring and reporting on pupils' progress, collaborating with other staff to ensure all needs are met.
* Supervising pupils during non-classroom activities, including extracurricular events and school trips.
* Building positive relationships with pupils to enhance interaction and drive successful learning outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Possess a suitable qualification at degree level
* Have previous successful teaching experience
* Experience working with pupils with SEND in an educational setting
* Knowledge of behavior management techniques
* Commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn
* Willingness to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check
