BIM Coordinator (Architecture)
We are currently seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator for a prestigious opportunity with one of the leading architectural practices in the UK. They are a leading architectural design and engineering firm located in Central London and as a BIM Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and implementing Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes and workflows for architectural projects.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project teams to develop and implement BIM standards, protocols, and workflows for architectural projects.
Oversee the creation, organization, and maintenance of BIM models, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and consistency throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct clash detection analyses using BIM software to identify and resolve conflicts between architectural elements and other disciplines, ensuring coordination and minimizing errors.
Assist in the implementation and adoption of BIM technologies, tools, and methodologies within the architectural team, promoting best practices and efficient workflows.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients, to enhance coordination and project outcomes.
Provide guidance, training, and technical support to architectural team members on BIM software, tools, and workflows, ensuring proficiency and adherence to BIM standards.
Conduct regular quality control checks on BIM models and deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and the companies quality assurance protocols.
Generate and maintain accurate documentation, reports, and project records related to BIM coordination activities, milestones, and project deliverables.
Bachelor's degree in architecture or a related field, along with a minimum of X years of experience in BIM coordination for architectural projects. Strong proficiency in BIM software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, Dynamo), along with a solid understanding of BIM methodologies, standards (e.g., Familiarity with clash detection, model management, data extraction, and visualization techniques. Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python) and parametric design principles is advantageous.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking to identify and resolve coordination issues, perform clash detection analyses, and propose innovative solutions.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, ensuring accurate model management, compliance, and quality control.
Ability to adapt to changing project requirements, multitask, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
