Manpower has partnered with a company in Oxfordshire that provides global support, servicing, spares and upgrades for all aircraft refuelling applications. They carry out on site servicing, repairs & calibration of all refuelling equipment across the UK and Ireland for commercial and private airfields. They are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Workshop Engineer to join a successful team.
This role would particularly suit candidates from a plant engineering background, ex-forces, HGV or similar. The successful candidate will be required to complete a medical and confined space training to facilitate tank entry inspection and cleaning.
Your main duties will include:
1. To build/assemble all mechanical components on bespoke aircraft refuelling vehicles.
Experience:
1. Candidate should have experience with vehicle building (ideally HGV).
2. Supervisory experience would also be beneficial.
3. Experience with aircraft refuelling vehicles would be extremely beneficial but not essential.
4. Ability to use a wide range of hand and power tools (drills, grinders, riveting etc.)
5. Interpretation of engineering data (drawings, schematics etc.)
6. Basic fabrication skills.
7. Basic level of H&S understanding.
8. Driving licence/car
9. Experience in pneumatic and/or hydraulic systems
10. Experienced in Welding (TIG/MIG)
