The Deputy Director will work with the Director to provide intellectual leadership and strategic direction for the centre, alongside leading a programme of impactful research that aligns with the centre’s objectives. The post is full time; however, consideration would be given to candidates wishing to work part-time on a pro rata basis (minimum 80% FTE) The post is available on a flexible hybrid basis. The minimum on-site time is 3 days/week for a full-time post. You will provide high-level academic research leadership that aligns with the centre’s objectives, initiating and implementing long-term research programmes at a national/international level and leading the development of pioneering approaches/methodologies to open up new avenues of research. You will contribute to the intellectual leadership of the centre and wider departments’ academic communities, providing direction and mentoring for less experienced research colleagues, including academic supervision for research students and supporting the development of early career researchers. * There is also the possibility of a market pay supplement for suitably qualified clinical candidates, subject to approval by the Senior Appointments Panel. About You You will hold a relevant PhD/DPhil with significant post-qualification research experience in a relevant academic discipline. You will be a recognised international authority in a subject of direct relevance to the centre’s objectives with a considerable international reputation. With a record of demonstrable impact on children, young people and/or families outside of academic settings; you will have significant experience of developing research strategy and managing research projects.
