About the Role
We are recruiting for an experienced and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join a well-established 49-bedded residential home in Nottingham.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring and motivated individual to take on a leadership role within a supportive team, delivering high-quality, person-centred care to residents.
You will work either full-time days or full-time nights, providing guidance to care staff while ensuring residents receive safe, dignified, and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading and supervising Care Assistants on shift
* Administering and recording medication in line with policy
* Supporting residents with personal care and daily living tasks
* Updating and reviewing care plans
* Monitoring residents' health and wellbeing, reporting concerns appropriatelyConducting handovers and maintaining accurate documentation
* Promoting independence, dignity, and respect at all times
* Ensuring safeguarding and CQC standards are upheld
* Supporting new staff and mentoring junior team members
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or experienced Care Assistant ready to step up
* NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (preferred)
* Medication administration training
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Good understanding of safeguarding and residential care standards
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
