Smart Teachers is excited to offer an opportunity for a compassionate Educational Health Care Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive SEN school team. We are currently working with a higly established SEN school in West Drayton, a short walk from Hillingdon Hosptial which supports pupils with a diverse range of needs including moderate to severe and complex learning needs, sensory processing difficulties and associated speech, language and communication difficulties, including autistic spectrum disorders.\n\nThe Role:\n\nAs an Educational Health Care Assistant, you will provide vital support to children with complex needs, helping them access education and develop their independence.
Your responsibilities will include:\n\nSupporting pupils with medical, physical, and personal care needs as required.\nAssisting pupils in their learning, both on a one-to-one basis and in group settings.\nMonitoring and encouraging progress in pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.\nLiaising with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care and learning.\nPromoting a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for every child.\nRequirements:\n\nThe desired Educational Health care Assistant will:\n\nHave experience working with children or young people, ideally within an SEN or healthcare setting.\nHave a caring and patient nature, with the ability to build trust and strong relationships.\nHave knowledge of or a willingness to learn about medical procedures, personal care, or therapeutic approaches.\nHave a proactive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.\nHave a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.\nDrive or be willing to use public transport.\nWhat we offer:\n\nAs an Educational Health Care Assistant and part of our team, you benefit from:\n\nExcellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system.
