Assistant Manager - Luxury Travel Agency
Leading Travel Agency and Tour Operator brand known for its mid to luxury products and personal service is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join their Nottingham Retail Travel Branch. They promote their own holidays but also sell from a wide range of Tour Operators, offering customers a variety of worldwide itineraries. The role involves assisting other team members and supporting the Manager.
Salary & Benefits: £28,000 per annum plus commission (OTE £35,000), with wide-ranging benefits detailed below.
Job Description:
* Share your experience and knowledge with new and existing team members.
* Support the Store Manager in daily operations and store development, deputising when necessary.
* Achieve sales targets by maximising profit and sales opportunities while providing exceptional service.
* Lead, motivate, and develop your team, recognising individual potential.
* Deliver personalized holiday consultations, listening to client needs and tailoring options accordingly.
* Flexibly sell in-house tours or from other suppliers to meet customer preferences.
* Manage the customer journey post-booking, including amendments, upgrades, and follow-up to encourage repeat business.
* Work a rota of 5 days out of 7, Monday to Sunday, with no late evenings, fully branch-based.
Experience Required:
Previous experience in retail travel agency, tour operator, or online travel sales with management responsibilities. Good worldwide destination knowledge and a focus on building rapport with customers are essential.
The Package:
Basic salary of £28,000 with an OTE of £35,000.
