Thurrock Primary Schools are seeking enthusiastic SEN Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join supportive and inclusive school teams from September 2026. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them thrive in a nurturing primary school environment.
The Role:
1. Providing in-class support for pupils with SEN needs
2. Working closely with class teachers to adapt learning activities and resources
3. Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
4. Encouraging confidence, independence, and engagement in learning
5. Supporting behaviour management and pastoral care
6. Full-time permanent role starting September 2026
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
7. Experience working with children (school-based experience desirable but not essential)
8. A calm, patient, and caring approach
9. Strong communication and teamwork skills
10. A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
11. An understanding of SEN such as autism, ADHD, or speech and language needs (desirable)
