English Teacher – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities

Duties as English Teacher
* Deliver engaging and well‑structured English lessons using provided plans
* Teach key curriculum areas including literature, language, reading, writing, and comprehension
* Support learners in developing analytical, communication, and critical‑thinking skills
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively in accordance with school policies
* Adapt teaching approaches to meet diverse learning needs
* Assess and record pupil progress when required
* Contribute positively to department activities during longer‑term placements
* Promote a supportive and purposeful learning environment
Ideal English Teacher
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Strong knowledge of English language and literature
* Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
* Ability to inspire and motivate learners across different year groups
* Adaptable across varied school environments
* Good organisational and communication skills
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils
