Driver Glasgow
Role Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Van Driver to support our lift installation and service teams. The role involves transporting lift components, tools, and equipment between the warehouse, suppliers, and customer sites. You will play a key part in ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining vehicle standards, and assisting the operations team when required.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely drive company vans to deliver and collect lift components, tools, and materials.
Load and unload vehicles, ensuring items are handled with care and in line with health & safety practices.
Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects or issues promptly.
Keep accurate records of deliveries, collections, and mileage logs.
Assist warehouse staff in preparing items for dispatch when required.
Follow site safety procedures and maintain a professional manner when representing the company at customer locations.
Ensure compliance with company policies, driving laws, and transport regulations.
Skills & Experience Required:
Full UK driving license (clean or minimal points).
Previous driving/delivery experience (van driving essential, industry experience desirable).
Ability to lift and move heavy items safely (manual handling training preferred).
Good timekeeping, reliability, and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and a professional attitude when dealing with clients and colleagues.
Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance (checking oil, tyres, fluids, etc.).
Desirable:
1. Experience in the construction, engineering, or lift industry.
2. CSCS card or willingness to obtain one.
3. Forklift license or manual handling certification.
