Applications are invited for a Consultant to join our Urology Team based at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary. The main aspects of the role will include:

* Provision of outpatient, inpatient, day case and diagnostic services
* Clinical audit
* Weekly multi-disciplinary meetings
Department context
The Department provides a core elective and emergency urology service to the Dumfries and Galloway region (population 148,000). Out-patient and cystoscopy services are provided at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary (DGRI) and the Galloway Community Hospital (GCH) in Stranraer. Elective surgery is performed at DGRI. Diagnostic services are supported by basic static urodynamics, flow studies and transrectal ultrasound and prostate biopsy. The Department is part of the “managed clinical network” for cancer services for the South East of Scotland with a weekly link to MDTs in Edinburgh.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Prospective candidates will require to be on the GMC Specialist Register and will hold a CCT or be within 6 months of obtaining the certificate.
