Veritas Education are working closely with a number of secondary schools across East Lancashire and are currently recruiting Pastoral Support Officers for short-term and long-term assignments.
Responsibilities
* Supporting students with emotional, behavioural, and social needs
* Managing behaviour and promoting positive engagement in school
* Working closely with teaching staff, SEN teams, and safeguarding leads
* Delivering 1:1 support and small group interventions
* Acting as a trusted adult and positive role model
Requirements
* Experience supporting young people in a school, pastoral, youth work, or support-focused role
* A calm, consistent, and empathetic approach
* Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
* Ability to adapt to different school environments
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
