Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional meals to our guests while ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.
Duties
* Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to the restaurant's menu and standards
* Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning ingredients
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods
* Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management
* Follow recipes accurately while also being open to experimenting with new dishes under the guidance of senior chefs
* Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and cleaned after use
Experience
* Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting
* Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
* Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues
* Previous experience in meal preparation and serving is advantageous
