Main duties of the job
Delivering high-quality primary care services, including:
* Managing a range of acute, chronic, and complex conditions
* Utilise skills in problem solving, prioritisation, alongside excellent attention to detail to ensure daily objectives are met
* Providing telephone, online, and face‑to‑face consultations
* Supporting long‑term condition management
* Home Visits when required
* Contributing to clinical governance, QOF achievement, and practice development
* Working collaboratively with the wider practice and PCN team

Oulton Medical Centre is a well‑established training practice, serving a diverse population of approximately 15,200 patients in the Leeds 26 area. We operate across two sites, (Oulton and Rothwell) and are supported by a skilled multidisciplinary team including GPs, ANPs, practice nurses, HCAs, clinical pharmacists, physiotherapists and a dedicated team of administrative staff. Job summary
As a salaried GP you will work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care while complying with the contract.
Furthermore, the post‑holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.
The role is to support, mentor, and supervise other healthcare professionals within the organisation and be an integral part of the general practice team.
Person Specification
Experience
* Experience of working within Primary Care.
* Commitment to working as part of a multidisciplinary and skill mixed team environment.
* Experience of working to achieve high standards within QOF
Qualifications
* MRCGP Qualification
* General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT)
* Full GMC Registration
* Eligibility to practice in the UK independently
* Registered on the NHSE medical performers list.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Proficient in using clinical IT Systems and embracing technology
* Strong clinical skills, with an evidence‑based approach to patient care.
* Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
* Experience or interest in supporting Teaching of GP Reg/FY2/Medical students
* Evidence of participation in Audit and QOF initiatives
