Are you passionate about shaping the buildings of tomorrow?
Whether you’re beginning your journey as a Fire Engineer, ready to step up as a Senior or Principal Engineer, or already operating at Associate level, Buro Happold offers you the opportunity to work on transformative and globally significant projects across our five UK offices.
As a fire engineering team, we pride ourselves on our global reach. With teams located in the UK, Dubai and Riyadh, we bring international expertise to every project.
Our team has a breadth of experience across all sectors, new builds and refurbishments and our technical services and expert witness work embed a progressive learning culture, enabling us to be at the forefront of industry best practice. In‑house computational expertise combined with on‑point design communication supports the full design service we offer and enables a closer collaboration with architects.
Across all grades, you will work within our UK Fire Engineering team delivering projects that range from iconic sports stadiums and entertainment venues, mega‑projects in the Middle East, advanced manufacturing and scientific research facilities, and so much more. You’ll be joining a diverse, inclusive and technically brilliant group of engineers (around 40‑strong), and collaborate with a breadth of specialisms across our multidisciplinary practice.
We can offer an outstanding platform for career development, exposing you to some of the most technically challenging projects in the industry which truly push the boundaries, and giving you opportunities to take on broader, client‑facing and advisory responsibility, working directly with end‑user clients.
Hiring across Bath, London, Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh.
Buro‑Happold values an individual's flexible approaches to working patterns as an important part of how you work and achieve balance. We welcome applications from those who are seeking flexibility in their careers.
Our exceptional portfolio of projects is the result of the diversity of thought, identities, backgrounds, and experiences that shape us. Appreciating each other’s differences is key; we want employees to feel they don’t have to mask elements of their identity to thrive.
We are working to change the lack of representation of marginalised groups in the built environment. We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who feels they are underrepresented in the industry. We have much to learn from one another. Embracing differences allows us to develop the most innovative and elegant solutions.
