Location: Wrexham - 5 days onsite (non-negotiable)

The Opportunity
We're supporting a global organisation with a requirement for a hands-on IT Desktop & Network Operations Engineer to join an established onsite support team.
This role sits within a highly regulated environment (manufacturing/laboratory setting) and requires someone comfortable working face-to-face with users, supporting business-critical systems and infrastructure.
This is a practical, on-the-tools role - ideal for someone who enjoys being onsite, solving issues directly, and supporting a live operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide 2nd line desktop and infrastructure support
2. Deliver face-to-face support to end users (including operational staff)
3. Support:
4. Windows OS installation & troubleshooting
5. Windows Server environments (2008-2016)
6. Active Directory & user admin
7. WSUS & patch management
8. Assist with network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs)
9. Support VMware, RDP, Citrix environments
10. Deliver device rollouts, upgrades, and enterprise-wide deployments
11. Work within a process-driven, regulated environment
Required Skills
12. 2-5+ years in IT Support / Desktop / Infrastructure roles
13. Strong 2nd line support capability
14. Experience with:
15. Windows OS & Server
16. Active Directory
17. Patch management (WSUS)
18. TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS
19. VMware / Citrix / RDP
20. Strong customer-facing skills
21. Comfortable working fully onsite
