Job Role
To work closely with the production shift manager to organise, manage, and maintain the production department/team. Full responsibility of the assembly floor ensuring we meet all Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety targets, and Objectives. Drive continuous improvement and improve the working environment.
Key Responsibilities/Duties
1. Promote health & safety in the workplace: Display excellent standards of personal safety, monitor and challenge unsafe behaviors, identify and raise H&S risks, complete H&S forms, and encourage a safety culture.
2. Manage team performance: Use targets, BI data, and output sheets to monitor performance, clarify roles, and support training.
3. Set targets and goals: Establish clear, achievable objectives for individuals, groups, and the team.
4. Conduct appraisals and development: Carry out regular reviews, support PDPs, and organize training courses.
5. Drive improvement projects: Oversee initiatives like 5S, liaise with line managers for approval.
6. Ensure timely delivery: Monitor orders, document issues, and address potential delays.
7. Maintain housekeeping standards: Regularly check and improve cleanliness and organization.
8. Communicate effectively: Conduct team briefings on targets, safety, and quality issues.
9. Maintain safety standards: Regularly check tools, conduct toolbox talks, and update skills matrices.
10. Identify capacity and personnel needs: Highlight gaps and issues, and instigate training programs.
11. Uphold company ethos: Promote Keystone standards and high-quality work.
12. Report regularly: Keep line management informed of progress and issues.
13. Meet KPIs: Ensure team and personal KPIs are achieved.
14. Additional tasks: Perform other duties within your capabilities and training.
15. Implement quality checks: Develop and sustain quality control, pre-use, and housekeeping checks.
