Location: Alvaston Infant and Nursery School
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract type: Fixed Term until August 2027 and with a view to becoming permanent

At Alvaston Infant and Nursery School, we are always moving forward and we have BIG plans, and want to appoint the right person to join us at this exciting time! We need to expand our staff body due to the demand for both school and Nursery places and us wanting to continue to provide the very best possible education and care for children from Nursery to Year 2. The suitable candidate will be able to work across the school.


This role would require you to work alongside a successful team and you would help to deliver our ambitious curriculum. The role would require you to work, as directed between the hours of 7:30am 5:30pm, Monday to Friday.


Posts at our school do not come around often but, we are a forward thinking school who are constantly adapting to the meet the evolving needs of our children and community, whilst ensuring the wellbeing and workload of our staff are never compromised. • Has a nurturing, caring attitude towards children and all members of our school family.
• Understands the need to keep our children safe at all times and is aware of policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety, security and confidentiality.
• Gets to know children as both people and as learners. They will have unconditional positive regard for children.
• Oozes positivity and enjoys working collaboratively and professionally with others.
• Is aware of the diversity of our pupils and can ensure all have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.
• Has a very high standard of written and spoken English.
• Has some knowledge of child development and how children learn within EYFS and/or KS1.
