We currently have a new opportunity for anexperienced SHEQ Advisor to join OCU Group covering the East ofEngland.This is an advisory / support position within the SHEQ Teamresponsible for supporting effective SHEQ delivery within theregion. The purpose of the role is to apply and promote therelevant health safety environment and quality policies andstandards across the operationalregion.
Duties andResponsibilities
Toprovide SHEQ guidance / assistance to the Operational ManagementTeams.
To Support Regional bid teams simple PQQs andtactical responses.
Take an active role within the set upand mobilisation of regional new contracts depots andacquisitions.
Assisting in the development of locallyrequired risk assessments method statements and SHE plans includingCDM Construction Phase Plans.
Be visible and known to theregional operations supported.
Conducting suitable andeffective SHEQ Compliance monitoring activities in Region andtracking the completion of all corrective action.
ProvideSHEQ Compliance monitoring activities for the broaderbusiness.
Monitor and track SHEQ compliance informationin region for trends etc. highlighting concerns and providing keysupport in the development and implementation of improvementactions initiatives and plans.
Provide feedback to theSub Contractor and Supplier SHEQ compliance database.
Undertake company inductions for new operatives and staffmembers.
Support with external accreditation and clientaudits.
Provide support for accident / incidentinvestigations in relation to regional incidents.
Take alead / impartial role in investigating serious / significantaccidents and incidents
Liaise with management inrelation to the notification of accidents / incidents and dangerousoccurrences.
Work in support of Regional Management teamsto achieve good SHE performance standards.
Recommendsolutions in respect of significant SHEQ audit nonconformance oradverse accident investigationfindings.
Skills andExperience
NEBOSH Certificate orequivalent as a minimum. Associate / Tech / Grad Member of IOSH andIEMA desirable.
IT Skills capable use of Microsoft Officesoftware suit (word excel etc.) and ability to interact withcompany systems.
Full UK Driving Licence and willingnessto travel.
Excellent Communication Skills (Verbal Written& Face to Face).
Professional approachselforganised and motivated to influence stake holders.
Interpersonal builds relationships internal / external.
Presentation Skills and ability to assist in delivery oftraining.
Mentoring and support to OperationalTeams.
