Job Title: Shot Blaster / Prep Operative

Salary: Up to £38,500k
Hours: Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week
About the Role of Shot Blaster / Prep Operative:
I am looking for a reliable and hardworking Shot Blaster / Prep Operative to join a busy Paint Shop team. This role is key to ensuring all components and assemblies are properly prepared to a high standard before painting.
Working as part of a fast-paced production environment, you will play an important role in maintaining quality, efficiency, and safety across all paint preparation processes.
Key Responsibilities of the Shot Blaster / Prep Operative:
Carry out shot blasting of components in line with training and production requirements
Prepare items for painting, including filling, sealing, cleaning, and masking
Load and unload components onto the monorail system in line with the production schedule
Ensure all parts meet required quality standards before painting
Maintain high levels of housekeeping across paint booths and preparation areas
Report any faults, material shortages, or issues to the Team Leader
Follow all safety procedures, risk assessments, and company policies
Support the company’s Quality Management System
Work collaboratively as part of the Paint Shop teamWhat We’re Looking For
Experience in shot blasting, paint preparation, or a similar manufacturing role
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Good awareness of health and safety practices
Reliable, flexible, and willing to work rotating shifts and overtime when requiredKey Attributes
