A growing engineering team specialising in CO recovery and biogas upgrading systems is looking to add a hands-on PLC / Automation Engineer to their team.
This role sits within an industrial project environment - you'll be developing control software, testing systems, and supporting commissioning of real plant installations.
What You'll Be Doing
1. Developing PLC software (Siemens TIA Portal / STEP 7)
2. Designing and configuring HMI systems (WinCC)
3. Supporting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
4. Assisting with commissioning of industrial energy systems (~15% travel)
5. Working closely with process, mechanical and commissioning engineers
6. Contributing to continuous improvement of automation standards
This is a practical role where you will see your code run on real installations.
What We're Looking For
7. 2-4 years' experience in PLC / Automation Engineering
8. Hands-on experience with Siemens TIA Portal (S7- / S7- preferred)
9. Experience with WinCC or similar HMI platforms
10. Exposure to FAT / SAT testing
11. Understanding of industrial communication protocols (Profinet, Profibus, Modbus)
12. Ability to read electrical diagrams and P&IDs
13. Strong English skills (Dutch is a plus)
Experience in energy, manufacturing, process, water treatment or similar industrial environments is beneficial.
