Project Manager
Location: Crawley, (site, office & client locations)
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 (DOE)
The Opportunity
Guided Talent is recruiting on behalf of a specialist engineering and security systems provider for an experienced Project Manager to take full ownership of the planning, delivery, and installation of parking bollards, hostile vehicle mitigation systems, and traffic access/control solutions. This role involves managing multiple projects concurrently, many for high-profile and security-sensitive clients, requiring strong organisational skills, technical understanding, and first-class customer communication.
Key Responsibilities
* Take full responsibility for the planning, progression, and delivery of multiple installation projects
* Manage projects from order through to installation and final handover
* Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification
* Liaise with internal teams, civil contractors, and subcontractors to coordinate works
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including company directors and main contractors
* Review and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
* Monitor programme progress, risks, and issues, taking corrective action where required
* Maintain accurate project records and documentation
* Ensure customers are kept fully informed at all stages of their project
* Manage multiple live projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Essential Skills & Experience
* Practical engineering knowledge gained through experience or degree-level education
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
* Strong IT skills, including Windows-based systems, email, and internet applications
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proven customer service and stakeholder management experience
* High attention to detail with strong organisational and memory skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities under time pressure
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
* Commercial awareness alongside technical understanding
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable Experience
* Previous experience working on UK construction sites
* Experience working with main contractors
* Knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts
* Understanding of UK Health & Safety regulations
