Retail Store Assistant
£12.21 per hour plus benefits
Reports to: Shop manager
Department: Trading
Location: Ilkley Shop
Contract: Permanent
Working hours: Part time 16 hours per week (must be flexible across the week)
Closing date: 11th May 2025 23:55 (may close earlier if high volume of applications or suitable candidate found)
Interview date: w/c 19th May 2025 (to be included if applicable)
Responsibilities
* Providing excellent customer and supporter service.
* Working as an integral part of the shop team to achieve sales and fundraising targets.
* Maintaining shop standards including visual presentation, safeguarding compliance, and health and safety.
* Creating relationships with the community and Cancer Research UK colleagues.
* Supporting fundraising events to meet targets.
* Taking keyholder responsibility as required (training provided).
* Manual handling and physical activity are involved in daily duties.
Candidate requirements
* Understanding of great customer service.
* Experience in a busy customer service environment.
* Ability to manage workload and work independently.
* Good teamworking skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Flexibility to work on a rota basis, balancing work and personal life.
