The starting salary for these positions is £33,552 per annum based on a 36 hour working week, pro-rata for part‑time hours.
We have 3 positions available:
* 1 x 18 hour per week, permanent position
* 1 x 36 hour per week, permanent position
* 1 x 36 hour per week, 8‑month, fixed‑term position
These roles are open to hybrid working, with a mix of office, community, and remote work.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new Adolescent Service in Surrey, supporting young people who have gone missing, need mental health support, are involved in gang culture, or are vulnerable to exploitation, including criminal and sexual exploitation.
Our team includes Social Workers and Adolescent Practitioners who focus on positive outcomes for young people. We use a brand‑new model and are guided by Relational Practice principles, focusing on empathetic, supportive relationships.
Responsibilities
* Support whole families through a strengths‑based and trauma‑informed approach, utilising motivational interviewing skills and effective relational approaches
* Coordinate key support services and professionals to form an engaged, active and effective Team Around the Family, with clearly defined roles and expectations as per the family plan
* Ensure casework is recorded accurately and in a timely manner, including case notes, assessments and reports
* Lead a caseload of families, maintaining positive contact and effectively managing the balance between hands‑on support and coordinating partners to keep families safe from harm
Qualifications and Experience
* An understanding of the roles and responsibilities of practitioners working with vulnerable young people
* Experience working in a social work, youth justice, youth work, teaching, or probation environment
* Basic awareness of relevant legislation affecting work with children (Children Act 1989, Children and Adoption Act 2002)
* IT skills, including use of databases, email, Word and Excel
* Ability to prioritise and work effectively under pressure with minimal supervision
* Willingness to learn and undertake training relevant to the role
Transferable skills from youth work, youth justice, education, residential children home or social work background will be advantageous.
Potential candidates should hold a valid UK driving licence, have access to a vehicle and be willing to travel within Surrey and the surrounding area. Reasonable adjustments will be made for candidates with disabilities or long‑term health conditions.
