We are now seeking Class 2 Drivers for our site in Northampton (NN7 4DE). The salary for this role is £35,228.82 per annum working Tuesday to Friday, based on a 40-hour contract. Start times will be between 05:00-7:00 dependant on your delivery destination.

The Role:
As an LGV Class 2 Driver, you will complete deliveries to both customer and Yusen depots across various geographical areas of England. This role can be physical as you will be manual handling 'white' goods off the truck via a tail lift. Some deliveries may require instillations of the products so you will be given specialist training to equip you with the skills to perform your duties to the highest level.
Depending on the volumes, you may also drive 7.5 vehicles and vans to make your deliveries, to maximise the efficiency of the business.
Key Activities:
Timely and safe Delivery of all planned goods
Manual handling of goods, including loading and unloading
Undertake any other duties as necessary in line with operations requirements
To ensure service level agreements are maintained
Meet all special instructions as detailed on delivery documentation
Ensure all documentation is signed and completed as required
On return to Depot, report to office for full debrief
Comply with the vehicle security and standing instructions at all times
Contribute effectively in a team environment
Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle at all times
Provide excellent customer service
About You:
To be considered as an LGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:
A full, valid driving LGV Class 2 licence
At least 12 months commercial LGV Class 2 driving experience
A maximum of six points on your licence (excluding BA, CD, DD, DR or DG codes)
A valid DCPC qualification
A valid Digital Tachograph card
To be prepared to use manual handling techniques to deliver products to our Customers
Excellent communication skills
To be customer-focused with a 'can do' attitude
To be able to work within a team environment
Excellent problem-solving skills
A flexible approach to your work and the ability to start at different times if necessary
