About the Role G3 Systems is seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Technician to join our production team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong mechanical background who takes pride in quality workmanship, safe working practices, and supporting efficient production delivery. You will play a key role in the build and integration of engineered systems, working from technical drawings and production instructions to deliver high-quality outputs in line with company standards. Key Responsibilities Complete production and build tasks as directed by the Production Manager Identify materials required to successfully achieve production tasks Monitor build quality and report production snags in line with G3 Systems processes Maintain accurate and up-to-date project route cards during production Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance facility efficiency Comply with G3 Systems Integrated Management System (IMS) operating procedures Conduct local Health & Safety risk assessments where required Work safely at all times, ensuring the safety of yourself and others Ensure safe handling and use of COSHH-controlled substances Maintain tooling and integration facility equipment in good working order Keep work areas and facilities clean and tidy as part of daily activity Carry out other tasks within your ability and competence as directed Qualifications Mechanically trade qualified with relevant experience City & Guilds Part 1 & 2 (or equivalent) preferred Skills & Experience Previous experience within a mechanical or engineering environment Ability to read and interpret technical drawings Competent in the use of hand tools, mains-powered tools, and battery-operated tools Able to follow instructions accurately and work safely Basic IT skills Strong awareness of safe working practices, including COSHH Willingness to travel within the UK and overseas on company business What We’re Looking For Detail-focused with a strong commitment to quality Proactive and able to work both independently and as part of a team Safety-conscious with a responsible approach to workshop and site activities Reliable, adaptable, and keen to support operational excellence Benefits Competitive salary 25 days annual leave 37.5 hours working week Private Medical Insurance Cover (BUPA) Life Cover (3.5x salary) Pension Plan Plus various salary sacrifice schemes (eBike, electric car purchase) and other life wellbeing platforms
