The Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced commercial professional to join a high-performing team delivering complex, high-value industrial projects across the North East. In this role, you will take ownership of the commercial and contractual performance of live projects, ensuring strong financial governance, effective cost management, and seamless subcontractor coordination. You will play a key role in driving profitability, maintaining compliance, strengthening client relationships, and supporting strategic decision-making through accurate financial reporting and forecasting. Key Responsibilities Support and collaborate with site-based commercial teams across MSIP and E&I project portfolios Prepare, manage, and present detailed cost reports, CVRs, budgets, and financial forecasts Lead subcontractor procurement processes, including tendering, negotiation, contract administration, and final accounts Ensure full compliance with contractual terms, commercial regulations, and internal governance procedures Work closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal project stakeholders to maintain smooth commercial communication Identify commercial risks and opportunities to improve project margins and cash flow Oversee project cash management, valuations, variations, and payment applications Contribute to monthly commercial reviews, performance reporting, and strategic analysis You will have the following qualifications & experience: Proven experience in a commercial or quantity surveying role within construction or industrial environments Strong analytical capabilities with a track record of effective financial control and reporting Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (RICS accreditation advantageous) Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for detailed financial modelling Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and commercial awareness Millbank Holdings Ltd is an equal opportunities employer committed to creating an inclusive and diverse workforce.
