Print Production Controller (Litho/Envelopes)

£30,000-£35,000 based on experience
My client are a market leader on the marketing and communications side of the print industry. Due to ongoing growth, they’re now able to add to their production team in the form of a Production Controller (Litho Print and Envelope Production).
Reporting to the Head of Litho Print and also the Sales Manager, the successful candidate’s primary objective will be to support the production team by acting as the bridge between Client Services and production – preparing quotes, planning jobs to meet customer needs, managing stock, and much more.
The Role:
Gain expertise of the range of services provided in the departments
Handle telephone and email enquiries requesting quotations
Assist with the creation of quotations
Edit and prepare job bags received from Account Managers
Ensure all accurate details are passed on to the studio department
Send clients PDF proofs as requested
Assist in managing production schedules and stock levels
Liaise with internal printers, external suppliers and clients to answer enquiries regarding deliveries and production
Ensure all customer complaints, issues and queries are dealt with accordingly
Achieve team and individual targets set by the management team
Prepare weekly reports for analysis
Purchase paper / envelopes for production when required to manage stock control.
The Candidate:
At least 2 years experience within the print production industry in a similar role
Good verbal and written communication
PC literate with a good understanding of management information systems
Good telephone manner and techniques
Excellent attention to detail and able to deal with multiple projects at one time
Team player, able and willing to assist other members of the team
Flexible and able to cope under pressure
Able to ensure that all documentation is complete and accurate
Be willing and able to work overtime at short notice and to cover holidays and sickness when required.
Salary & Benefits
A competitive salary is on offer for this role up to £35,000 based on experience.
Plus 20 days holidays plus Bank Holidays, pension, and more.
Typical working hours are Monday to Friday 9am – 5.30pm. This is a site based role.
