An established and growing transport & infrastructure consultancy is looking to appoint a Highways Design Engineer into its Gateshead office .

The Opportunity You'll be joining a well-rounded consultancy offering services across: Highways design Transport planning Drainage Environmental services This 'one-stop' approach means you'll gain exposure to projects from early-stage planning and feasibility through to detailed design and delivery, giving you a much broader skillset than a typical design-only role.

The Role As a Highways Design Engineer, you'll support the delivery of highway design packages across a range of projects.
Responsibilities will include: Designing roads, junctions, roundabouts and pavements Supporting the delivery of highway schemes from concept through to detailed design Producing technical drawings using AutoCAD / Civil 3D Working closely with transport planners, drainage engineers and other disciplines Supporting project delivery across multiple schemes Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders where required What We're Looking For Experience in highways design, particularly: Roads Roundabouts Pavement design Experience using AutoCAD (Civil 3D beneficial) Experience working within a consultancy environment Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach A proactive attitude and willingness to learn Why Apply?
