M&E Manager / Building Services Manager
Location: Kent
Start: ASAP
Salary: £70,(Apply online only) - £85,(Apply online only) + Package
As the Senior M&E Manager, you will lead a team overseeing the management and coordination of complex MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and public health) design and build subcontract packages. You will be in charge of 2x £20m plus Healthcare schemes in East Kent.
Healthcare scheme experience would be highly advantageous however, not necessary working on schemes with NEC contracts is must.
Key Responsibilities
-\tReviewing installation plans and coordinating services within the building design to meet client needs.
-\tManaging the installation, testing, and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
-\tEnsuring all systems meet VINCI Building standards, legal regulations, safety codes, and health & safety requirements.
-\tLeading teams, supervising subcontractors, and managing budgets.
-\tManage the off-site design process on Stage 1 and 2 tenders, commencing at 'RIBA Stage 2 or 3 - Concept or Developed Design', in accordance with the VCUK Design Management processes and procedures.
-\tManage the on-site design process at 'RIBA Stage 4 and 5 - Technical Design and Construction', in accordance with the VCUK Design Management processes and procedures.
-\tProvide technical support to the onsite construction activities in order to maintain quality benchmarks.
-\tAssist the Design Manager in the discharge of the Design Managers Specific Tasks and responsibilities.
-\tLead the management of the MEP bid and preconstruction phases.
-\tOversee high-value MEP subcontract packages on Healthcare, Education, Commercial, and accommodation projects.
-\tEnsure compliance with project objectives and budgets.
-\tDrive cost control processes, ensuring strict adherence to financial constraints.
-\tFoster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and construction teams.
-\tProvide technical expertise in building systems such as electrical, mechanical, fire safety, security, water treatment, and high-voltage systems.
