The Opportunity
We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to lead a UK and India-based development team, ensuring high-quality delivery and adherence to timelines. We recently secured an exciting project with a new client, with ambitious plans to expand our platform to serve more clients across Europe and beyond.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
* Report to the Business Unit Director, overseeing the delivery and leadership of a first-class Software Engineering team within the Retail & Hospitality sector, collaborating with product, service, and program management leaders.
* Manage a growing delivery team, ensuring Agile practices are followed where possible.
* Ensure team members are trained with the skills required for current and future roles.
* Collaborate with the Retail & Hospitality Product Manager and PPM to support planning, capacity management, and timely delivery of releases, including resource forecasting.
* Work with the CTO Group to align solutions with the technical strategy.
* Develop and maintain resource utilization plans.
* Ensure the team has the right processes, technologies, and support to deliver effectively across international boundaries and time zones.
* Travel within the UK, including West Midlands, for project coordination.
