Your new company Based in Renfrewshire, our client is recruiting for a Management Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. The hours of work are Monday-Thursday 9am - 5.30pm and Fridays 9am-4pm. The role is office based and there is on-site parking. Due to the location of the role, it is advisable (although not essential) that applicants have access to their own transport. Study support can be offered if this is of interest to candidates. Your new role Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in supporting both UK and international finance operations. This is a varied and hands-on position offering exposure across the business, with responsibilities including: Preparation of monthly management accounts Annual budget and forecast support Maintenance of the general ledger Oversight of accounts receivable, payable, and fixed asset register Balance sheet and bank reconciliations Weekly supplier payment runs and VAT returns Year-end audit preparation and liaison with auditors and bankers Staff expenses review and ad hoc reporting Product profitability, cost, and variance analysis Support with stock valuation and review What you'll need to succeed Ideally, you will be a part-qualified accountant who is seeking to complete their professional qualifications. The IT system used is Sage 200 (and Excel) and experience of these systems is highly advantageous. The organisation operates within the manufacturing sector, and it is preferred but not essential that applicants have experience within this field. You will be an organised team player with a proactive approach to a varied workload. You will be a professional communicator as you will liaise with clients, colleagues and suppliers on a daily basis.
