Newly Qualified Salaried General Practitioner (ARRS) 2-3 sessions p/w
We are looking for newly qualified, within 2 years of completion of CCT and not having had any previous substantive posts,enthusiastic, forward-thinking GP to join our Rural Rother practices at Oldwood Surgery in Robertsbridge and Battle Health Centre in Battle, East Sussex.You will be required towork 2-3 sessions per week, Monday Wednesday AM's.
We would like the successful candidate to start as soon as possible.
Main duties of the job
You will be required to work at both practice sitesand undertake duties governed by the GMS contract and Direct and Local EnhancedServices including:
Face to faceand telephone consultations
Patient Homevisits and Nursing and Care Home visits
Checking andsigning repeat prescriptions
Administration- dealing with queries, patient test results, referral letters NHS and private,tasks, emails and other paperwork and correspondence in a timely manner
Cover allclinical management of patients as appropriate, including initiatinginvestigations, reviewing results, making referrals to secondary care or toother providers as appropriate
Develop careand treatment plans in consultation with patients needs and wishes and in linewith current practice disease management protocols, as well as wider guidancesuch as that from NICE
Thisrole will support our existing team of 2 GP Partners, 3 Salaried GPs, 3Practice Nurses and 1 Phlebotomist. You will also work alongside a rangeof local providers from primary care, community services, social care and thevoluntary sector to offer more personalised, coordinated health and social careto the local patient population. They currently include ClinicalPharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians, ANPs, Physiotherapists, Mental Healthand Wellbeing Coaches, Social Prescribers and Care Coordinators.

GENERAL
Recording clear andcontemporaneous I.T. based consultation notes to agreed standards
Provide safe,evidence-based, cost-effective, individualised patient care within thesurgery, patients own home or other environment where patient care iscarried out
Clinically examineand assess patient needs from a physiological and psychological perspective,and plan clinical care accordingly referring patients to otherservices and agencies in a timely manner, utilising Practice, PCN and localguidelines
To recognise the needfor and be able to perform and interpret investigatory procedures, includinglaboratory and radiology
Prioritise healthproblems and intervene appropriately to assist the patient in complex, urgentor emergency situations, including initiation of effective emergency care
Ensure appropriatefollow up of patients

Person Specification
Experience
* Experience of working in urgent care and or a primary care environment
* Experience of dealing with a range of clinical conditions
* Experience of providing home visits
* Proven ability to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of own clinical practice.
* Understanding of evidence-based practice
* Evidence of working autonomously, with some support and supervision
* Experience in Triage
* Knowledge of Quality and Outcomes Framework
* Knowledge of Public Health issues in the local area
* Awareness of issues within the wider health arena
* Knowledge of health-promotion strategies
Qualifications
* MBChB or equivalent
* MRCGP- CCT (to be eligible for this position you must be a newly qualified GP and have qualified within the last 2 years and not held a substantive role, post qualification.)
* Full GMC registration
* National Performers List registration England
* Eligibility to practice in the UK independently
* Driving license and use of own car
* Have the right to work in the UK (please note: we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role)
