We are seeking a skilled and reliable Bookkeeper to support our finance team and help us ensure accuracy, compliance, and good financial stewardship.
The Role
This is a part-time position, ideal for someone with bookkeeping experience who is looking for flexible hours in the Charity sector. The Bookkeeper will work closely with our Accountant and Senior Management to manage day-to-day finances.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping systems
* Process income and expenditure, including donations, grants, and invoices
* Collate and manage payroll and staff expense claims (if applicable)
* Prepare monthly reconciliations and financial reports for accountant
* Help and Support preparation of management accounts and year-end accounts for audit
* Ensure compliance with charity finance regulations and reporting requirements
Person Specification
* Experience in bookkeeping or finance (charity/not-for-profit experience desirable but not essential)
* Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. Xero or equivalent)
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
* Understanding of charity finance requirements (preferred)
