About the role
As SME Partnerships Manager, you will be reporting to the Associate Director of Partnerships and as part of the Charity Partnerships team, you will work with staff across the charity as well as other stakeholders, volunteers, and external contacts in delivering strategic objectives. You do not need a charity or fundraising background, as they are looking for dynamic individuals with a proactive attitude and business development experience with transferable skills from any industry or sector.
Responsibilities include:
* Building and developing a multi-year pipeline of high-value partnership opportunities to support the charity’s core services and maximize revenue from new and existing supporters in the corporate, SME, government, and NHS sectors.
* Researching potential partners, identifying key players, and generating interest using innovative and creative approaches.
* Working with senior leadership to develop and implement a national strategy to increase multi-year income and partnerships within your sector.
* Collaborating across the charity to deliver strategic objectives.
* Negotiating and finalizing partnership opportunities, overseeing tenders, proposals, and pitches with support from the Lead Generation team.
* Forecasting, measuring, and reporting project results through KPIs.
* Managing income budgets, providing reports on income, expenditure, risks, and financial projections to surpass pipeline targets.
* Staying informed on market trends, news, events, and legislation relevant to your sector in the UK.
* Proactively managing relationships to support peer-to-peer introductions and opportunities.
About You
You will have / be:
* A creative problem-solving approach and the ability to lead initiatives from inception to completion.
* Credibility and authority in presentation and negotiation, with high ethical standards.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to diverse people.
* Strong communication skills—written, verbal, and presentation experience with high-caliber audiences.
* Knowledge of income generation and financial control within a government sector setting.
* Experience in generating income through partnerships with funding organizations (public and private) and delivery agencies.
* High-level account management skills to increase support from key relationships and achieve income targets.
Rewards
The role offers a 37.5-hour workweek with a salary of £30,000 to £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
