The Boeing Company is seeking a F-22 Pilot Training Lead Software Engineer to join the Vehicle Simulation Team in Berkeley, MO. This role supports Boeing Global Services.
The F-22 Vehicle Simulation Team develops products used in training fighter pilots, including:
* F-22 Pilot Training Avionics Simulation (PTAS)
* F-22 Advanced Simulation Toolset (FAST) supporting the Boeing Virtual Warfare Center (VWC)
These simulations support the training of next-generation avionics and sensor systems for the F-22 Raptor.
This role offers the opportunity to help design and plan the long-term roadmap of the Vehicle Simulation team as a Technical Architect and Lead Software Engineer. Responsibilities include interacting with users, refining requirements, managing prioritization, facilitating design and reviews, mentoring teams, and tackling complex coding tasks.
F-22 Vehicle Simulation Software Engineers test changes daily in various environments including the desktop Development Test Environment (DTE) and Full Mission Trainer (FMT) cockpit with the Constant Resolution Visual System (CRVS).

Basic Qualifications:
* 14 years of experience with C/C++ in real-time embedded systems
* 14 years of experience with Windows and Linux/Red Hat OS
* 14 years of experience with development tools like Git, Bitbucket, MS Visual Studio
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related fields
* Experience with VersionOne/Agility, GNAT Pro, GLStudio
* Experience with Ada, Fortran, OpenGL, Python, Qt
* Knowledge of cloud architecture, containerization, networking, and security
* Ability to derive and trace requirements throughout the product lifecycle
* Experience with software architecture, real-time systems, testing, and aircraft systems
