Job title: Engineer Surveyor Category 3
Location: Greater London – Preferably inside the M25
Total reward package: £56,782 per annum
Salary: £37,500 per annum plus a regional allowance is applicable to those in the London area of £4,000 or £6,000 per annum depending on criteria
Working hours: 40 hours per week (inclusive of travel time), additional hours worked paid as overtime
Job Purpose
Engineer Surveyors play a vital role in keeping the UK industry safe, compliant, and operating at their best. In this exciting field-based role, you will apply your technical expertise to complete thorough examinations and inspections across a diverse range of equipment.
As an Engineer Surveyor, you will operate within a structured development pathway with defined competencies and tailored supervision; giving you the support you need to grow your capability, expand your knowledge and progress within the profession.
The type of equipment that our Engineer Surveyors inspect and the locations can vary greatly, but if you have experience with the inspection, maintenance or installation of any of the following types of equipment, it would be good to hear from you:
* Garage equipment
* Factory based lifting and pressure equipment
* Materials handling equipment, such as forklift trucks
* Social and Domestic, including stairlifts and personnel hoists
* Mobile plant including MEWPs, Earth Moving equipment, etc.

Key Responsibilities

We ensure you are fully trained, supported, and equipped to provide high‑quality inspection services that help safeguard our clients and keep their operations running safely.
As an Engineer Surveyor, there is no fixed place of work, and you will be field based, visiting our clients to provide inspection services.
Typical responsibilities of an Engineer Surveyor include but are not limited to:
* Work in accordance with our RAMS and company procedures to ensure the highest standards are upheld at all times.
* Manage your own workload, ensuring that your clients receive their appointments on time and that your schedule is planned for maximum efficiency.
* Provide, develop and maintain excellent customer service to foster client relationships and ensure standards are met consistently.
* Use your engineering knowledge, judgement and attention to detail to examine lifting and pressure equipment to keep clients and members of the public safe.
* Produce reports for your client which they will use to comply with relevant regulations.
* Receive training to a high standard from our in‑house training team and access a technical support network and resources to feel confident and empowered to make correct and objective decisions during thorough examinations of clients' equipment.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
A recognised Level 3 Engineering qualification or Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship (e.g., NVQ Level 3).
