SMMA is seeking an experienced Architect with 7-10 years of experience to join our team and contribute to the design and delivery of advanced technology facilities. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the unique requirements of these facilities, including clean rooms and other highly technical environments. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organized individual who can coordinate across teams to ensure seamless project execution on fast-track schedules. Flexibility and the ability to draw from experience to progress design in the absence of specific design criteria are an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design and Planning: Lead design efforts from concept through construction, ensuring that project specific considerations such as cleanliness and coordination of tool requirements, are integrated at every phase.
* Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external teams, including engineering disciplines, sustainability experts, and technical consultants, to develop integrated solutions.
* Technical Expertise: Develop and review architectural details and specifications, focusing on integration and coordination of systems, structural integrity, safety, and durability.
* Code Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to local, state, and federal building codes, as well as any specific regulatory requirements for advanced technology environments.
* Client Interaction: Act as a point of contact for clients, providing updates and ensuring that design solutions meet or exceed expectations.

Qualifications:

* Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
* Experience: 7-10 years of architectural experience, with at least 2 years focused on advanced technology or high-performance building projects.
* Licensure: Registered Architect or actively pursuing licensure.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in Revit, Teams, Bluebeam, and application related to the CA phase. Training is available from our internal Design Technology group.
* Knowledge Base: Strong understanding of building systems, equipment requirements, and regulatory constraints associated with highly technical environments.
* Project Management Skills: Demonstrated experience in coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and managing project timelines and budgets.
* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
