Your Role
As a Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting our students' personal and academic development. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
* Enhancing wellbeing, readiness for learning, resilience, and behaviour management.
* Collaborating with the Education Team to remove barriers to learning.
* Leading classes during PPA and absence cover, with planning support from teaching staff.
* Delivering engaging enrichment activities during 'Golden Time'.
* Providing in-class support for academic, pastoral, emotional, or behavioural needs.
* Responding to immediate concerns and resolving situations effectively.
* Creating and collating lesson and intervention information.
* Assisting in preparing information for pupil-related meetings.
* Acting as an advocate for our school’s ethos.
* Leading on Reading and Phonics, tracking student progress.
* Developing the Pupil Voice initiative and liaising with the Senior Leadership Team.
* Building relationships with parents/carers and supporting transitions.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* A strong educational background with at least GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
* Previous experience in a similar role (e.g., HLTA) and working with pupils with SEMH.
* The confidence to take on additional responsibilities in specific areas (e.g., Food Hygiene, Forest School, Lunchtimes, School Yoga).
* Experience in behaviour management techniques.
* A commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.
