Lecturer in Games Design and Animation
Salary: £29,067 - £42,848 pro rata (£20,346 - £29,993 actual)
Location: Stafford College
Hours: 0.7 position available (25.9 hours)
Responsibilities
- Teach and assess on courses including Games and Animation.
- Play an active role in marketing of the college and department through activities such as open days and liaison with local employers and schools.
- Engage in core duties including preparation, marking, carrying out assessment procedures and providing feedback to support student progress, preparing reports, developing and preparing flexible learning materials.
Qualifications & Experience
- Appropriate subject qualification to degree or equivalent.
- Hold or be studying for a relevant teaching qualification (DTLLS, PGCE or equivalent); willingness to train for one if not currently held.
- Experience of teaching on Art or Games Art courses or relevant experience in the UK’s creative industries.
- Ideally teaching experience within the FE sector or experience of working in UK creative industries.
- Relevant teaching qualification such as PGCE (PCET) or equivalent, or willingness to train for one.
