Location: Portbury
Salary: £57,000 plus car allowance and benefits

We’re on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Facilities Manager to ensure our site operates at peak performance at our Brakes Depot in Portbury, while also providing engineering support to our Bridgend and Bodmin sites.
Your Role: A Key Player in Our Success
As the head of our site facilities engineering team, you’ll lead three direct reports and ensure our plant, equipment, buildings, and facilities are top-notch for both our clients and colleagues. Your responsibilities will include:
* Conducting audits, inspections, and health and safety assessments
* Managing capital planning and contractor relationships
* Developing maintenance and project delivery plans
* Driving continuous improvement in site performance
What You Bring to the Table
We’re looking for an experienced Facilities Manager with a strong engineering and compliance management background. Here’s what you need to excel in this role:
* Qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (City and Guilds/NVQ Level 4 or equivalent)
* Management experience in FMCG or logistics
* A proven track record in enhancing performance in planned maintenance and asset management
* Project management experience, including knowledge of CDM, GMP, 5S, and TPM
* Strong budgetary control skills
* Excellent problem-solving and people management abilities
* Experience managing key systems such as fire prevention, water, air supply, refrigeration, electricity, and dock doors
