Overview:
A leading secure IT provider is seeking a motivated and ambitious 3rd Line Core Engineer (Grade 11) to join a highly secure Basingstoke-based environment. This role is an excellent entry point into 3rd line engineering, offering hands-on training, clear progression, and exposure to a wide range of core infrastructure technologies. You'll work within a skilled team while gaining strong operational experience and developing your technical capability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform daily infrastructure checks, incident management, triage, and escalation
* Support a high-profile user community with regular customer and stakeholder interaction
* Work with ITSM tools to manage the full incident life cycle
* Contribute to operational readiness reviews and service release support
* Support project activity including hardware builds and configuration
* Carry out hands-on Windows Server and Active Directory tasks
* Utilise event management and monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, SCOM, MECM/SCCM, Active Directory, SQL, vCentre, and Trelix (McAfee)
* Receive structured training across monitoring platforms and tooling environments
